There is a wonderful historical site in St. Croix, in the town of Christiansted on the northeast side of the island. This fort was constructed in 1749 by the Danish military that occupied and owned the island. In 1771 the fort was rebuilt due to damage caused by a hurricane. It’s a very popular “must visit” historical site and most sections of the fort are accessible to the public, from the canons on the roof to the basement holding cells for prisoners. The bright yellow makes it very pleasing!Fort Christiansvaern, St. Croix
